The excellent geographical location and the warm climate make D.O. Valencia an excellent place for red wines –which boast the most intense color from the Eastern part of Spain. But not only reds are the 'stars': rosé wines, sweet whites, sparkling are also produced in the four subzones of the region (Alto Turia, Valentino, Clariano and Moscatel de Valencia) Traditionally used to make desert white wines, Moscatel de Alejandria gives its best expression when cultivated in the area. Moscatel wines are sweet, finely aromatic, with a distinct personality; they are also appreciated as a blender in dry and sparkling wines.

Tasting Notes

El Miracle By Mariscal is produced from a selection of hand-harvested Garnacha Tintorera grapes grown on gobelet-trained 35 year-old vines, located in the 'Valentino' wine production area. The wine is produced using very slow maceration and alcoholic fermentation until the malolactic fermentation is complete, when the wine is poured into second fill French oak casks. This guarantees perfect blending between the Garnacha Tintorera varietal's fruity character and the wood.

Bright cherry with a deep robe and very luminous purple edge. It has an intense bouquet, an expressive and fragrant nose, dominant red fruit wrapped in smoky notes and mineral flavours. The nose is tamed by the wood, with hints of cedar. Smooth on the palate, good acidity and meaty, defined tannins that bring to mind ripe plums and black olives, with a long berry-laden finish. A fine wine with a Mediterranean character.

During the second fortnight of August both varieties are harvested at night so as to avoid the high temperatures of the day. The grapes are refrigerated with dry ice during their transport to the winery so as to keep all their treasure intact. Then they are genty crushed and special low temperature maceration undertaken to draw out the maximum aromas. The free-run juice is extracted through gravity and fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature and using selected yeasts. Lastly the two varieties are blended and stored for 4 month before being sold.

Straw yellow colour with greenish iridescences. Its bouquet combines citric aromas (lime) and tropical aromas (pineapple, peach) with floral aromas such as orange blossom. On the palate it is ample, fresh and at the same time with a sweet richness and perfectly balanced acidity/alcohol.
